History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

History: Born in the west to a Bookbinder, Hatae learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 14 years.

History: Oppah lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her first spouse was a Doctor, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Umpen's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Umpen was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.
