History: Mordai hails from a village terrorized by drow. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She struck the Architect job and began her own company from there.

Sailor work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
