History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Through the years after Fax was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Fax's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was granted psionic powers by his dying brother.

History: Ielenia hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Kerkad was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants.
