Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Merihim was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: She comes from a rich southern family. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she is greedy

Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Berrian liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. She passes on several rewards to people in need. She makes a point to leave places better than she found them.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Grai abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

His father taught him the rudiments of the Shoemaker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs
