History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

He keeps his long purple hair kept up in a rat tail. His white eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. History: Varis was born with his mother's beautiful face. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to giants.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Tanner. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and balancing his hectic life and new tanner responsibilities is difficult
