History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Valida grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and wishes to resurrect an old love

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: The child of a Soapmaker, who enjoyed hunting, Ivellios was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and many giants want him driven away

History: Torbera was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Torbera grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Torbera. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
