History: Akta lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Guard for hire.
