He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Sage kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and he has decided he is irredeemable

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. After a long history of fighting, Shax and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Olunt lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He now spends his time doing works of charity.
