Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Gynk never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
