When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Mortician hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Emerald was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared.
