His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when he was still a young child. The gnolls captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. History: When she was but 6 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Dalaba's homeland. Dalaba decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Dalaba fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
