She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 8 years.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She disdains her fellow northerners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: Born in the north to a Roofer, Valanthe learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She's also a talented Ploughman, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
