History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Malmûg was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Malmûg was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Personality: Megren hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
