History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Healer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Healer work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She now owns her own business.

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. The war was a terrible time for her, and Melissa does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

His hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born to a Map Maker, his father struggled to pay the bills. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital.
