History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Dilettante arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Dilettante kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Egelina was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Egelina's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bowyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
