Upon awakening, Melissa discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Melissa fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born to a Server, her mother struggled to pay the bills. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Andry began to lead the lost caravan. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born to a Ruler, his father struggled to pay the bills. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Soveliss grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Soveliss. Recently he has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
