History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. After a long history of fighting, Marastyr and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He does not care much for physical appearances, nor does he care much for other people. He does however care about what he wants and getting it. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.
History: He was born in a small forest village. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Shepherd for hire.

Description: He is a physically imposing light-skinned man. He is dressed in earthy colors with a brown and green handkerchief worn on his left side. His Stetson hat is riddled with cuts and holes. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines violet.
Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.
History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Rolf took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up scythe and armor he uses now. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Rolf was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Guard responsibilities is difficult; and he is unsatisfied with his job

He has dyed his greying auburn hair a little too much giving a sharp auburn color. His gray eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.
Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. A true patriot, Rurik would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.
History: He is a Lamia in disguise. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he feels threatened by others

Description: She does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 4'7" when asserting herself. Her hair, while still mostly red, has prominent grey streaks. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.
Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She takes great pride in her work and is very well organized. Her planner is full of calendar events.
History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Spice Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Spice Merchant work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spice Merchant.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.
History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.
Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and to reunite with her absent father
