She found a children's book about a Halfling Monk who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Kilia was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Shágflak hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Shágflak and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.

His red eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is his passion.

History: She was born into a rich family. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has never given up on her music dream.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. The war was a terrible time for her, and Naivara does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Naivara was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: She comes from a rich southern family. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and she is greedy

Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Beggar born in the past three hundred years. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She became a Beggar soon after.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and she wants to meet her childhood hero
