History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: Emerald was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature morningstar.

Description: She wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with top hat, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 6'5" when asserting herself. She wears a top hat to hide her balding. Her yellow eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.
History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Ulla never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and she is wracked by social anxiety

Being a Laborer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
