History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

History: Anbera lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Painter. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Painter responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. The war was a terrible time for him, and Hirrathak does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Quarethon will drive conversation. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs

History: She was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family She moved out west to avoid the crime she committed. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and a rival would like her out of the picture
