History: He comes from a rich western family. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Born in the north to a Fortune-teller, Surina learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She worked as a nervous Fortune-teller and found it very stressful. She tends to her Fortune-teller job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Doctor hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Alex and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To protect his home; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He became a Crown-heir soon after.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Crown-heir and was forced into it by his family; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
