His mother taught him the rudiments of the Spy arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. Five was born on a far western island where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Shipwright. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Detective hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
