History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Tanner for the past few years.

Personality: While she acts the brute, she is far gentler than she would appear. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ilanis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ilanis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ilanis. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
