History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Umpen took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: The child of a Performer, who enjoyed hunting, Zook was taken on many hunting expeditions. At a young age his father died while driving off some goblins. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in hammer use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: A powerful slaver made her what she is. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Gnomes in Pyntle's homeland. Pyntle decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Her martial abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 11 years.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born to a Glassblower, his father struggled to pay the bills. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and wants to work out more often
