History: Gifted from a young age, Ghaliver studied abroad. After coming to the age of reason, Ghaliver took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. During his travels, Ghaliver and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Ghaliver discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Ghaliver fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Rosalind grew up listening to her mother's many stories. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a large cave. She would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Rosalind took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up pickaxe and armor she uses now.
