History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the east were limited. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many goblins want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and she desires to right it

This search led her directly into Bookbinder work with an outfit from a few towns over. Bookbinder work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
