History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Through the years after Synthrin was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Synthrin's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Synthrin and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Baker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor.
