When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: He was born in a small plains village. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city.
