Through the years after Rieta was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gifted student he started as a Butcher, but he got bored and became a Roofer. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Roofer for hire.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
