History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Valanthe grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting orcs, the young Aldous began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. Her philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

History: Bhevek was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Nyx was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
