Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Moon was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Her martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Mardnab liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and she made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a rival would like him out of the picture
