History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Carter arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He became a Carter soon after.

Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Jillian enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Jillian was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Jillian's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Jillian and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and she seems to be bored by most things

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Diggory was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Expert who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and to reunite with her old friends

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She's also a talented Armorer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
