Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. Flattery will make him almost putty in your hands.
History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the east. Korfel was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Korfel decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. She is seen as merciless and passionate.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, she was no stranger to responsibility. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.
History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out
