History: Thervan was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. Her father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Jaxi was heart-stricken from the event, and her mother started working long hours to provde for them. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
