When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Detective hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Shivering and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
