History: Born in the south to a Miller, Aline learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Ostracized due to the psionic powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Half-Elves became a terror of the countryside. She now owns her own business.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: Nordak was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is a Doctor first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To be a Mason again.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He got into the Marshal business at a young age. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Marshal. He has worked as a Marshal like his father before him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Marshal responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of gnolls once and for all.

History: Lilli hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Lilli alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs; and she is greedy

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the east. She uses divination through singing.

History: She was born at the edge of vast desert. Nora was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Nora decided she wanted neither the life of her father nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she has decided she is irredeemable

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Cloak never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and to be a marshal again
