Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying east to reunite her family. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
