Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Peren was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Through the years after Peren was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Peren's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
