History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Sarah was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Sarah's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Sarah and her spouse have recently divorced.
