During his travels, Barakas and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Barakas discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Barakas fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Animal Trainer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
