History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Balam grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Balam was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Laborer. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Detective hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
