The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now mingles about in high society.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Ostracized due to the necromantic powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying south to reunite her family. After a long history of fighting, Murgen and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is very protective of his business, his home, and his spouse. He is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Uadjit is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in the west to a Sculptor, Uadjit learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered painting. She has never given up on her painting dream.

Personality: He is a Engraver first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is stubborn though. He always likes to keep a trick up his sleeve. He likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if he feels he even has a chance of losing.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and a rival would like him out of the picture
