History: Akmen was born the youngest of three triplets. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. His mother worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled mother and took his mother's old job. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

During her travels, Adelaide and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Adelaide discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves.
