History: Laucian was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Laucian fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Elven doctor. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature ceremonial dagger.

History: Melissa hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. At a young age her father died while driving off some gnolls.
