History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Adam was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He found a children's book about a Human Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Bellfounder they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Knight, and he later adopted a second son.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Aym alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Sculptor.
