Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ortegar embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Description: This woman stands a little under 3'0" and is a bit bulky. She is very muscular particularly in the legs. She does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it. Her hair is long and white with streaks of golden, and is pulled back with small white clips. Her eyes are gray and catlike.

Personality: Paela speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. The war was a terrible time for her, and Paela does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born in the west. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He feels threatened by others; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Orc companion (his 'brother'). Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.
