Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. After months of barely getting by, Kava managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Kerkad's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying south to reunite his family. After a long history of fighting, Kerkad and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
