History: Born in the west to a Butcher, Ella learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Butcher for the past few years.

She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She tends to her Navigator job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Cartwright they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Bellfounder, and he later adopted a second son.
