History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Joser was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. After a long history of fighting, Marigold and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. Varis abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying brother.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He hates giants. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Gifted from a young age, Torinn studied abroad. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Left-Handed was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Doctor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Doctor work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now mingles about in high society.
