History: Riswynn hails from a village terrorized by illithids. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town.
